Come see Saving Abel at our awesome venue outside The Juke Joint Bar & Grill at Kickstands!

Book your Sturgis Rally stay with us!

About Saving Abel:

Since 2008 Saving Abel has embodied the definition of “Southern Rock.” Even before their “Self Titled” debut LP, they were barnstorming the country making fans everywhere they went, just by being themselves. Simple, down home, charming, country-boys with immeasurable talent that was destined to take them straight to the top. The band was signed by A&R wizard Jason Flom to Capitol records and their first single, “Addicted” did just that, reaching number one on several charts and the follow-up singles “18 Days” and “Drowning” helped sell over 750,000 copies of their debut album. They toured heavily in support of this album, playing with Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold, and later on Nickelback, in arenas across North America. Night after night, the boys would go back to the bus with their ears ringing from 15,000 fans screaming their lyrics.

Knowing that they would need something great to follow up with, the boys set out to write their sophomore album on Capitol, “Miss America.” Topping the Active Rock and Hard Rock charts yet again with “Sex is Good” and “Stupid Girl” solidified Saving Abel’s place both on the radio and live. Setting out on their own tour this time, Saving Abel headlined theaters around the country for almost 2 years non-stop. They toured with several artists and made a lot of friends along the way, but always kept their focus on the fans, and their eyes toward the future.

About Palisades

Web: http://wearepalisades.com

Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/palisadesofficial

When it came time to choose the artwork for their fourth album, "Erase the Pain", Palisades landed on an image of the Ouroboros: an ancient symbol depicting a serpent eating its own tail, speaking to an infinite cycle of destruction and rebirth.

“The idea behind this whole album is that we all experience so much pain in life, but it’s always possible come out the other side and find happiness,” says Miceli. “You don’t have to be a prisoner to whatever’s happened in your past—you can choose to start over again, and become something new.”

The most thrillingly intense release yet from Palisades, Erase the Pain is pure catharsis in album form. To fully capture their raw outpouring of emotion, the New Jersey-based band joined forces with Howard Benson (the super-producer known for his work with everyone from My Chemical Romance to Three Days Grace).

Recording at Benson’s studio in L.A., Palisades pushed their sound to bold new heights, delivering an album built on brutal but beautiful riffs, wildly thrashing rhythms, and soaring vocals that relentlessly channel the hurt and fury within each lyric.

At the same time, Erase the Pain finds Palisades achieving a greater sophistication in their endlessly melodic take on post-hardcore. To that end, the band embedded the album with inventive flourishes like hip-hop-inspired beats, as well as intricate textures crafted with the help of Benson’s extensive collection of synths.

About From Ashes to New

Lancaster, Pennsylvania is one of a hundred similar American towns; in fact, there are places just like it all over the world: post-industrial but still largely working class, and generally offering bleak prospects for the kids who grow up there. Suburban boredom, broken families, substance abuse, limited opportunity – this is an environment in which authentic, compelling creativity can thrive, if it’s accompanied by a burning desire, unstoppable drive, and complete lack of any backup plan.  There have always been powerful voices that rise above the din of mediocrity and monotony. The voice of From Ashes to New founder and frontman Matt Brandyberry is one of those that is forcing itself to be heard.

Matt’s lifelong interest in music progressed along a wide-ranging path: he was ardent hip-hop fan who wrote rhymes while in junior high, then learned piano and guitar. He pursued music with a passion, ignoring warnings from naysayers around him who shook their fingers in disapproval, asserting that he was doomed to fail and would never amount to anything.
His early musical efforts were straight-up rap, and he couldn’t get anything happening with it. "People would say, 'You aren’t a rapper. You are white. Just quit. Just get a real job.’ And I eventually thought I would be that regular 9 to 5 guy."

To make matters worse, Matt was making bad choices. "Most of what I have done has been a failure," he admits with an unsettling candor. "Things I fell into. Things I believed. I was pretty damn good at baseball, but I made bad choices. I ruined it. I fell into a bad crowd, getting in trouble, and partying too much. I was doing things I shouldn't have been doing instead of following what could have been a career choice."

Matt found a steady job as a cable TV installer, and had to relegate writing and performing to his off hours and weekends. Rap gave way to joining local rock bands, but his creative contributions ended up being frustratingly limited.

He was making good money doing the 9 to 5, but he didn’t have an outlet for the powerful music he was starting to hear in his head, and the voices of people who discouraged him grew louder and almost caused Matt to lose his focus.

This roadblock seemed insurmountable. Matt realized that he himself possessed the power to overcome the negativity and spitefulness he felt around him. Confidence was something that was totally under his control. An internal voice told him to press forward with his own creativity.

By pushing past the negativity with From Ashes to New, a rock band with a point of view, Matt found his voice, performing powerful songs that speak of redemption, liberation, and personal salvation.

Matt used money from a workers compensation settlement to begin the FATN journey. At the time, it seemed like yet another questionable choice.  Investing his life savings into what amounted to an underground studio-only project, Matt did so in order to generate the quality recordings which eventually got the band some attention.

Negativity threatened to derail From Ashes To New’s dreams once again when several band members jumped ship after the band signed to Better Noise Records. But this became another opportunity, as the band evolved a tighter unit, most recently adding guitarist Lance Dowdle, formerly of hard rock band Emphatic, who adds his own passion and energy. “The current lineup reflects the true spirit of the band,” Matt says, “and we can’t wait to play for fans all over the world”

“Through It All,” the band’s breakthrough first single, has launched their sound onto the radio and created multiple touring opportunities. Matt recounts, “There's always someone involved in our lives that in the end seems to change us. A friend, a family member, a significant other, sometimes we're left to wonder if it was for better or for worse. Often times we don't know what we have until it is gone.”

“Lost And Alone is a song about feeling lost and hopeless in today’s society. No matter how many times it feels like we have something to hold onto, that something always seems to find a way to escape us. It paints the picture of the bitter reality that we have to take matters into our own hands and not rely on the world to save us,” Matt explains.

Ultimately, From Ashes to New’s message is true to life, raw, and genuine. Their music is a testament to positive inspiration for the people of the world that they, too, can take risks and not settle into an expected life of mediocrity.

"We are only regular if we make ourselves regular. We are what we tell ourselves we are," Matt says. "Some of our fans tell us they feel things are hopeless and I tell them, 'You have to believe in yourself before anyone else can.'"

About Hinder

Multi-platinum American rockers, HINDER, continue to drive a career of longevity that few bands achieve. Their stats resonate just that, selling over 4 million albums and 10 million singles, garnering north of 150 million video views, and passing the 100 million streams mark. Throw on top the endless energy HINDER has brought to over 15 headlining tours and you can see why they are still rocking long since their formation in 2001.

August 11th of 2017 brought another career highlight. The release of their 6th Studio album, coincidently titled THE REIGN, on The End Records/BMG. This would be their 3rd release with the New York based record label, preceded by HINDER’s first ever acoustic EP STRIPPED on May 13, 2016. Their 5th full-length studio album When The Smoke Clears entered the Billboard 200 while also claiming four other Top 10 chart positions upon its on May 12, 2015.

As one of the few rock bands to grab massive cross-over success, HINDER’s 2005 debut album, Extreme Behavior, climbed to #6 on the Billboard 200 chart and was the 2nd Top Rock Album. Get Stoned would be the album’s first radio single, climbing to a #4 mainstream rock spot. What followed would end up being one of the biggest songs of the year, Lips of an Angel, which peaked within the top 10 across several Billboard singles charts, including #1 at Top 40 and Pop 100.  Extreme Behavior has since been certified 3x Platinum. Their hometown inducted them into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2007. In 2008 their sophomore effort, Take It To The Limit, surpassed their debut by peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200 and hitting the Mainstream Rock chart at #3 with single Use Me. This solidified HINDER as the biggest new breakout rock act and catapulting them into packed arenas worldwide with the likes of Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Papa Roach, and many others. HINDER proved consistent record hit making by following up with a #1 Top Modern Rock/Alternative Album, All American Nightmare (LP 3), and a #3 Top Hard Rock Album, Welcome To The Freakshow (LP 5).

Koz portrays a number of characters in BIG TOP RADIO.From Vince Neil of Motley Crue, to Freddy Mercury of Queen, Koz belts out your favourite melodies from the greatest era ever!!  Hailing from Winnipeg, Canada, Koz morphs into each character with ease and emulates each artist impeccably!  Koz loves long walks on the beach, stealing the food from our rider, and truck stop rest rooms.

Undeniably handsome..  in his eyes anyways! Pretending to be something he’s not is his specialty. That’s why he loves to impersonate Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Bret Michaels (Poison), Kevin Dubro (Quiet Riot), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt) and Alice Cooper when performing with BIG TOP RADIO. This guy loves his 80’s music as much as he loves his Gin and brings it every single night! Favorite movie- Fight Club. He broke the first rule, you don’t talk about Fight Club and he never shuts up about it. Growing up his parents were part of a traveling Circus and this is where he started chiseling away at his performance and makeup skills performing numbers for the elephants and clowns after the show. This guy is definitely a sure fit for BIG TOP RADIO.

Joey I. Zephyr
AKA Jiz
Lead Guitar
Raised on a steady diet of early 80s AOR and Hair Metal., Jiz  is the guitar backbone of BIG TOP RADIO. An energetic performer in his own right. He takes supreme pleasure in emulating many great guitarist throughout the course of the show.

G-spot. The one and only. Almost impossible to find, but when you do, you'll know it. Perched on his groove throne bashing the tubs, G-Spot drives the train of rhythm all night long

Jonny Kaos has spent most of his life staring into a mirror playing with his hair and himself. The Grammy Award winning, Platinum-album selling, New Jersey super-group, Naughty By Nature, has a twenty-year track record of creating the hits and party anthems that have become the soundtrack to our lives. Their music has smashed through mainstream barriers all while remaining true to the sound, message and grit of the hood. And now, these three kings of the Hip-Hop anthem have formally claimed their titles with the 20th Anniversary album, Anthem Inc.

Life is good. Treach, Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee kep doing what they do best: creating undeniably classic, hand- raising, life-affirming, Hip-Hop music. “We wouldn’t have reunited if we didn’t think we could give people that authentic Naughty feeling,” says the group’s master lyricist Treach. “This new album is definitely gonna take you back, but just like we always did, we’ve invented a new sound, a bunch of new flows and after being without an album for so long, we’ve gotta lotta things to say.”

Few groups in music can boast a twenty-year career that has been both consistent and history making. Naughty By Nature, initially called New Style, began performing at talent shows and were discovered by fellow New Jersey native and then-emerging Hip-Hop artist, Queen Latifah. Eventually signing the group to her management company Flavor Unit Management, Latifah helped them land a deal with Tommy Boy Records.

Naughty By Nature’s self-titled debut album was released in 1991 and quickly assaulted the music charts with the instant classic #1 hit “O.P.P.” The group quickly became crossover stars, while maintaining their ghetto sensibility. To date, their success and longevity as a Hip-Hop group has been unparalleled. The trio went on to produce their follow-up albums that have become part of America’s Hip- Hop legacy: 19 Naughty III (1993), Poverty’s Paradise (1995) and Nature’s Fury (1999).

Inevitably, a break-up in 1999 would lead to the group members each following different, yet equally successful, personal endeavors. As a producer, Kay Gee went onto produce award winning music with artists including: Luther Vandross, Notorious B.I.G, Jaheim, Next and Zhane. As an actor, Treach found success in film and television offering critically acclaimed performances in HBO’s original series The Sopranos and OZ, along with Jason’s Lyric, Soul Food, the Hip-Hop cult-classic Juice and several other films.

As the marketing genius behind the group, Vin Rock developed Naughty Gear, one of the first Hip-Hop inspired clothing lines. When he got a hold of the worldwide web, he mastered it with www.NaughtyByNature.com, further developing and expanding the reach of the Naughty brand. Throughout this time, Treach and Vin Rock continued to tour and perform around the world. In 2002, the duo struck a deal with TVT Records and produced their last album, IIcons.

Fast forward to 2008... After years of steady touring and itching to get back in the studio, both Treach and Vin agreed, that in order for the next album to have that authentic sound and feel of Naughty By Nature, they must reunite with DJ Kay Gee. At this same time, VH1 bestowed their coveted “Hip-Hop Honor” to the group as innovators of our culture. Joining the ranks of Big Daddy Kane, Rakim and Eazy E., the group received their “HipHop Honors” in October of 2008.

The group continues to tour globally, ripping stages from Australia to Canada and New Jersey to South Africa. Naughty By Nature is on their A-game and have no plans to stop anytime soon.

It's a NERD ALERT!!

Created coincidentally (or accidentally) from a big bang,

Revenge of the 80s  (R.O.T. 80’s) was spawned from each of their parent’s drinking a deadly combination of toxic stream water while eating bologna sandwiches.

The band itself came about from a failed university lab experiment where  N 20 gas (laughing gas) was released inadvertently, causing the 6 members to bust out a hilarious rendition of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. The group immediately realized they formed a bond. BUT, not just any bond, but one as strong as a covalent bond. Their love of synth pop joined them in unison as they quickly discovered the chemistry they shared. Reminiscing about the times they were stuffed into lockers or hilariously toilet papered then duct taped to the locker room wall.

The group knew they had a purpose. To get out there and share their love of synth pop with the world and express to them how Nerd Power is contagious! Revenge of the 80’s brings power synth pop to everyone and leaves audiences smiling while singing all night long!

From coke bottle glasses, to the classic shorts, suspenders and knee-highsocks, Revenge of the 80s  (R.O.T 80'S) warps you back to a time when nerds and synth pop went hand in hand. Revenge of the 80s  belts out all of your favorite ear worm hits of the era, all the while hilariously tickling your funny bone!  With everything from The B-52’s, Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, Devo and more!! R.O.T. 80's will leave you singing these hits for days! Try to shake them from your brain....BET YOU CAN'T!! It's fun! It's exciting! It's HILARIOUS!!!

Revenge of the 80s  is suited for all ages and venues alike!

Commitment to forward motion ensures longevity.
After 20-plus years, ten full-length releases, countless sold out shows, and over one million albums sold worldwide, Nonpoint endure through sustaining an unbreakable bond among themselves and to a diehard fan base all over the globe.
On 2018’s aptly titled tenth offering, X [Spinefarm Records], the quintet—Elias Soriano [vocals], Robb Rivera [drums], Rasheed Thomas [guitar], Adam Woloszyn [bass], and B.C. Kochmit [guitar]—not only maintain the momentum, but also amplify the intensity. Signature grooves hit with haymaker force bolstered by hip-hop cadences, thrashed-out six-string precision, and unshakable melodies.
Reaching this milestone, time increased the hunger they shared.
“As long as people want us to keep writing records, we’re going to keep writing records,” exclaims Rivera. “We have a special understanding in the studio, and the chemistry has only gotten better. We live for every moment on stage. We don’t want to ever stop

Red Sun Rising

Rock music should be built to last. Since its genesis, the genre has been all about longevity not a “flavor of the month” or a “flash in the pan.” Whether you go back to the seventies or nineties pillars, the goal was to create something that can be lived with for a lifetime. It still can be that way.

Akron, Ohio’s Red Sun Rising—Mike Protich [vocals/guitar], Ryan Williams [guitar], Tyler Valendza [guitar], and Ricky Miller [bass/vocals]—proudly carry on that tradition with their full-length debut, Polyester Zeal [Razor & Tie].

“It’s not today’s rock, but it’s a new alternative,” declares singer and guitarist Mike Protich. “We want to uphold the foundation with subtle nuances of what’s familiar. It’s fresh because we’re telling our story through that framework.”

Sharing that story has been the goal since first breaking onto the scene in 2012. Akron is no stranger to rock ‘n’ roll, serving as home to everybody from Black Keys and Devo to Chrissie Hynde. That buzzing industrial landscape remains fertile ground for musicians to this day.

“A lot of people don’t realize that Akron’s a really cool, artsy community,” says Mike. “There’s great food, local beers, and culture. Because it’s somewhat off the national grid, there’s a real tightknit music scene. We spawned off of that. There are a lot of factories around and the grit seeps into the music too.”

The work ethic is another trait Red Sun Rising embrace. Through tireless gigging, they built up an impressive local fan base, soon attracting the attention of multiple labels. Razor & Tie rushed to Akron in the Fall of 2014 and signed the band following a sold out hometown show.

“I guess we played well that night,” chuckles Mike.

The band headed to Los Angeles shortly after to cut Polyester Zeal with celebrated producer Bob Marlette [Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Seether]. They managed to siphon the pure, potent, powerful guitar chemistry, towering vocals, and muscular rhythms into the record’s 11 tracks with all of the “grit” intact.

“Bob helped us execute creating the record we wanted to make for a long time,” adds the frontman. “He knew how to achieve it. His philosophy was, ‘You guys have all the colors to paint the perfect picture. I’m just going to show you how to use them.’ That was cool.”

The first single “The Otherside” sees thick clean guitars clash with an unshakable refrain that’s as airy as it is anthemic. Penned by Ryan and Mike, it’s an immediately inviting introduction into the group’s sound.

“You can take it a couple of different ways,” he explains. “While you’re here on earth, it doesn’t matter what troubles you go through—you’re always going to come through on the other side. You could also look at it is just overcoming life’s obstacles because of the support you receive from those around you. It grabs you and shows our vibe.”

“Emotionless” commences with a calculated blues-inspired riff before spiraling out into a macabre fairytale that’s equally heavy and hypnotic.

“I had a nightmare with a really creepy storyline,” recalls Mike. “I vaguely remember it now. This woman I loved was sleeping, but I couldn’t wake her up. She was laying there motionless and emotionless. I linked those two things. I don’t know what’s scarier that or the fact Ryan and I put it together in twenty minutes on an acoustic in his mom’s basement when I told him!”

Album opener “Push” steamrolls ahead on a battering ram of distortion and a slick, sputtering verse, while “Imitation” highlights the inimitable incendiary interplay of six-stringers Ryan and Tyler.

“They went back and forth on the solos in that one,” Mike goes on. “Bob panned it so if you listen to it in stereo it’s like you’re watching on stage. You hear each solo go to the side of the stage where they’d be.”

Elsewhere, “Amnesia” serves as a declaration of carpe diem bolstered by fiery fretwork and another expansive harmony. “It’s about owning every moment that you’re living because each instance defines you as a person,” he exclaims. “You don’t know what’s coming or what will make a difference, so you have to embrace all of it. It won’t be there forever.”

However, Polyester Zeal will be, and it firmly establishes Red Sun Rising’s place in rock.

“The title sums it up,” concludes Mike. “Zeal is something you strive for, while Polyester is obtainable. The juxtaposition is, ‘What’s your obtainable dream?’ Ours is to tell stories through these songs. Hopefully, it makes you feel something. That’s what rock is supposed to do after all.”

About Hellyeah

Welcome Home, the eagerly anticipated new album featuring the late Vinnie Paul’s final recordings, will unleash 10 tracks, driven by their love, loyalty, reverence and respect for their fallen brother, including the first fiery song, “333,” recently released. Watch the official music video here

As bassist Kyle Sanders so succinctly stated: “While Vinnie Paul is obviously irreplaceable, one thing we can’t not do is tour. As easy as it would be to say we’re not going on the road, we have to. Vinnie would be extremely disappointed in us if we didn’t promote this record properly. He’d be pissed off at all of us for putting all this work into finishing the record and then just letting it sit there on the shelf while we put a couple of songs to radio and whatever…and we know that.”

The latest 18-city headlining summer outing will kick off on Tuesday, July 23, in Atlanta, and will culminate in a special hometown celebration on Saturday, August 17, in Dallas, Texas. Full routing below.

Tickets with VIP packages are available for purchase beginning Tuesday, May 14, at 10:00AM local time here. Fan club pre-sales begin on Tuesday, May 14, at 10:00AM local time here. On-sale to the general public begins Friday, May 17, at 10:00AM local time. In honor of Vinnie Paul, HELLYEAH will donate $1 from each ticket sold on the tour to the American Heart Association.

HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by Pantera founder/drummer Vinnie Paul, singer Chad Gray (Mudvayne), and guitarist Tom Maxwell (Nothingface) with bassist Kyle Sanders (Bloodsimple) and guitarist Christian Brady, who joined in 2014. The band has released five albums, culminating in the #2 Hard Rock album release UNDEN!ABLE in June 2016. Their final album with Vinnie Paul, Welcome Home – a truly stunning album that does both Vinnie’s memory and groundbreaking legacy proud – is slated for release on Friday, September 27.

It wasn’t until a good friend pulled him out of the gutter and put a bass in his hands that he started to put his fingers to good use. After playing in too many bands and being a promiscuous band swinger, he was stolen for BIG TOP RADIO. He loves himself almost as much as the band and spends countless hours pruning himself in a mirror.

Chris Hawkey, the self-described luckiest man in the world, was born and raised In Union City, a small town that rests on the state-line that separates Ohio from Indiana. He spent his youth competing in a wide variety of sports while dreaming of seeing the world through the windows of a tour bus. Having joined his first band at the age of 15, Chris began his pursuit of “the dream” while still in high school, playing “every bar and city festival within a 100 mile radius”.

After graduating from Mississinawa Valley High School, Chris attended a broadcasting school in Dayton, Ohio with the idea of pursuing a career in radio while continuing to chase his musical dreams. The radio business would take him from Ohio to Indiana to Virginia, and then to his current home state of Minnesota. It would also lead him to Kim, his wife of 22 years with whom he has two children, Alex and Abigail. As his broadcasting career flourished, Hawkey continued to perform with various bands on evenings and weekends while also releasing two well-received solo rock records in the early 2000s.

Jamey Johnson

Eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson is “one of the greatest country singers of our time,” according to the Washington Post. He is one of only a few people in the history of country music to win two Song of the Year Awards from both the CMA and ACMs.

His 2008 album, That Lonesome Song, was certified platinum for 1 million in sales, and his 2010 ambitious double album, The Guitar Song, received a gold certification.

In addition, he won two Song of the Year Trophies, for “Give It Away” and “In Color,” both from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. He has received tremendous praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone,

The Wall Street Journal and other publications, many of which have hailed his albums as masterpieces.

In 2012, the Alabama native released his fifth studio album, a tribute project to late songwriter Hank Cochran. The Grammy-nominated Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran paired him with Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Ray Price, Elvis Costello, George Strait, Vince Gill and Merle Haggard.

In 2013, the Nashville Scene’s 13th annual Country Music Critics’ Poll named it the year’s best album. (Two years earlier, the same poll named Johnson’s The Guitar Song as the year's best album, and Johnson himself as best male vocalist, best songwriter and artist of the year.)

CHEAP TRICK may be one of the most covered bands of all time. Since the 70s they’ve been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable. With timeless classics such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the late 80s lighter-waving favorite, “The Flame,” CHEAP TRICK are a musical institution. Anyone familiar with Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report will note that CHEAP TRICK wrote and performed the theme song.

With more than 5,000 performances, 20 million records sold, 29 movie soundtracks and 40 gold and platinum recording awards, the band was honored in October 2007 by the Chicago Chapter of NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) for their contributions to the music industry. CHEAP TRICK were featured in the John Varvatos Spring 2008 ad campaign.

In September 2009, CHEAP TRICK performed the classic Beatles album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, complete with an orchestra and guest artists Joan Osborne and Ian Ball for nine critically-acclaimed shows in Las Vegas.

Their most current release, The Latest, (released on CD, vinyl and 8-track) has garnered glowing reviews worldwide and continues Cheap Trick’s reign as power-pop progenitors as they celebrate their 35th anniversary together.

Foghat – Biography – 2018
Foghat’s live performances show why the band is still around today and why they will be able to keep
on rockin’ as long as they want. This band truly is timeless. Constant touring is part of their DNA and
the band just loves to play. Their live show is as intense as ever with the incredible energy and
musicianship that one would expect and hope for from a seasoned band with such a long musical
history and they are bringing their fans along for the ride. Not content to rest on their laurels, the band
released a great new studio album in June 2016 titled “Under the Influence”, and another ‘live’ album in
June of 2017 called ‘Live at the Belly Up’. Both were given great reviews by press audience alike. To
keep the ball rolling, they are planning to release a live DVD in 2018!
Foghat fans are everywhere and these days their audience consists of all ages. From the young kids
who play Guitar Hero III and know all of the lyrics to ‘Slow Ride’, to the Dazed & Confused generation
of 30-40 somethings and the ‘boomers’ who bought Foghat’s first vinyl or 8 track! Looking out at the
audience and seeing all of the generations rockin’ to Foghat is very gratifying to the band. According to
lead singer Charlie Huhn, “the band just wants to make sure that after every show, they are all
convinced that they just got rocked, from the second we start the first song to the end of the show”.
Formed in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl left the British blues-rock band, Savoy
Brown, Foghat has earned eight Gold records, one Platinum record and one Double-Platinum record.
And they continue to release new music every few years. They have never stopped touring and
recording although there have been several ups and downs and changes over the years. They sadly
lost Lonesome Dave Peverett in 2000 and Rod Price in 2005, but Roger Earl kept banging & kicking to
keep Foghat’s musical legacy going.
According to a recent review “The ’70s called…but there is no way in hell we are giving Foghat back to
them. The iconic band from the past is rocking just as hard as they did decades ago, if not more!
Foghat’s thunderous blend of blues, boogie and butt-kickin’ rock ‘n’ roll are shaking walls and fans
everywhere. There is so much talent in this band it is ridiculous. Lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Charlie
Huhn played with Ted Nugent, Gary Moore & Humble Pie, and lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett
played with Wild Cherry and Molly Hatchet.” Bass player Craig Macgregor who had been with the band
since the ’70s, unfortunately became ill in 2015 and was unable to play. Craig recommended the very
talented & personable Rodney O’Quinn as a ‘fill-in’ who came to Foghat via the Pat Travers band where
he proved he knew how to lay down a solid groove. O’Quinn viewed MacGregor as a mentor and is a
great permanent addition to the band. And on drums is the man we have to thank for keeping Foghat
going…founding member Roger Earl, who’s positive attitude and solid drumming style and pure joy of
playing has been an inspiration to all.”
If Foghat had only given us ‘Slow Ride’, the band’s place in rock history would be secure. But the band
is so much more than that. As stated by Roger Earl, “we are still a ‘work in progress’, writing and
recording, and plan to be until the day we depart this earth”!

His father, James E. Krier, is a Law Professor at the University of Michigan, and Andrew grew up in the open-minded Midwestern city of Ann Arbor. At age 18, after being accepted into The Art Institute of Chicago, Andrew decided instead to move to New York City and pursue art and music on his own.

With the release of his first full-length album in 2001 - the controversial, "I Get Wet" - Andrew was quickly recognized not only as a powerful musical performer, but also as an exhilarating and uplifting personality for a new generation. Using his feel-good abilities, Andrew released many more albums, singles, videos, a DVD, and expanded his work to include T.V. shows on MTV and VH1, motivational speeches at Yale, New York University, The Cooper Union School, and Carnegie Mellon, and a monthly advice column and book in Japan. As he continued to record and release his own music, he also began producing musical recordings for other artists, including the Grammy Award nominated album, "Repentance", for reggae music legend, Lee "Scratch" Perry.

In 2008, Andrew and his friends opened a large downtown New York City music venue and nightclub called, Santos Party House - the club won numerous awards in its first year. In 2009, Andrew began his own record label, SKYSCRAPER MUSIC MAKER, based in London, England and released an album of all instrumental piano improvisations called, "55 CADILLAC". In June 2009, he started filming Cartoon Network's hit live-action TV show, "Destroy Build Destroy", currently enjoying its second season. And in March 2010, Andrew released a 2-CD album, containing his "lost third album", "CLOSE CALLS WITH BRICK WALLS", as well as a 2nd disc of rare and unreleased material called, "MOTHER OF MANKIND".

2010 and 2011 will see Andrew hitting the road with his full band, as the headliner on the entire summer 2010 Warped Tour. This will be Andrew's 2nd time on the Warped Tour, and his first North American concert tour since 2005, when a variety of legal and personal issues first turned Andrew's life upside down and took him off the road. With his past behind him, Andrew is very excited to finally have another chance to play with his band and bring the party back stronger than ever.

Hairball is more than just a band, and certainly more than a tribute band!
A band puts on a concert - Hairball puts on an event! Hairball is a Rock & Roll experience you won't soon forget. The lights, sound, smoke, fire, bombs, and screaming hoards of avid fans...to merely call it a concert would be like calling Mount Rushmore a roadside attraction!
Vocalists Joe, Kris and Bobby lead the band through a 2+ hour, mind-blowing, and drop- dead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world. Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night.
The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of Freaky on the electric bass, Billy on the drums, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all time, while adding their own style and flare that they've cultivated over decades of tireless performing. This isn’t a side job. These guys eat, sleep and breathe Rock & Roll!
2018 finds Hairball celebrating its 18th year of rocking hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Constantly adding more characters, more pyrotechnics, more lights, more sound, more props, more surprises...more everything! While Happy often tells the audience "Today is the first day is the rest of your life!" Hairball performs every show as though it could be their last. Every night is a 100% full-on, no-holds-barred, exciting, chaotic, fiery party that has to be experienced to be believed!
As important to Hairball as the music, are its fans. While many bands claim to have the best fans in the world, Hairball actually has! Whether they are 10 years old or 100, Hairball fans bring an unparalleled enthusiasm and energy to the show that enhances the arena experience. Hairball knows it wouldn't exist without its fans and takes every opportunity to let them know that. Whether it's a pre-show meet and greet, hanging out at the merch booth, or chatting online, Hairball has a lot in common with its fans and it's always a good time when they get together.
Don't confuse Hairball with the countless "80's Tribute" bands across the country. Hairball is an experience, an attitude, and expression of music that isn't simply a retro flashback. It's a way of life, and it's not going anywhere soon!

Always ready to belt out into a mic, Spunky Brewster commands an audience with her grit rock attitude.  Never afraid to scream the high notes, she delivers a fast paced and highly energetic performance

BIG TOP RADIO promises!!

All hail our Ringmaster- The OVERLORD - He commands the audience and directs their attention to the spectacle that is about to take place.

About Sevendust

In 1994, Sevendust first forged a familial tie amongst each other that translated into one of the most diehard audiences in the game. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. For their twelfth full-length and first release for Rise Records All I See Is War, the quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums]—did the best thing they could possibly do to combat all of the division in the streets and on social media; they went and made a Sevendust record—just bigger, ballsier, and bolder than before.

A trifecta of now-classic gold albums—Sevendust [1997], Home [1999], and Animosity [2001]— ignited their journey. Known as an equally intense and unforgettable live force, they’ve consistently packed houses around the world and decimated stages everywhere from Rock on the Range and Woodstock to OZZfest and Shiprocked! 2015’s Kill The Flaw represented a high watermark. Bowing at #13 on the Billboard Top 200, it scored their highest debut on the respective chart since 2010 and marked their fifth consecutive Top 10 on the Top Rock Albums Chart and third straight Top 3 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Most impressively, the lead single “Thank You” garnered a nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” at the 2016 GRAMMY® Awards, a career first. All I See Is War represents yet another new beginning.

Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies, prepare to Shake Some Dust and Let It Burn with one of hard rock’s most ass-kicking, fast-rising bands of the last decade.

Danish metal sensations Volbeat will bring their blend of heavy metal, hard rock and rockabilly to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® for the first time on Friday, Aug. 9, and when they do, you’ll feel the power of the Warrior’s Call.

Volbeat made waves in their home country of Denmark in 2005 with their debut “The Strength / The Sound / The Songs,” which spent 21 weeks on the Danish album charts.

The band broke through in the United States with their Gold-certified 2010 album “Beyond Hell / Above Heaven.” Volbeat has since charted six number one singles and ten top 10 hits in the U.S., including “Heaven nor Hell,” “A Warrior’s Call,” “Still Counting,” “The Hangman’s Body Count,” “Lola Montez,” “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown,” “Black Rose,” to name a few.

Volbeat’s most recent studio album, 2016’s “Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie,” is the band’s highest charting US release to date, peaking at no. 4. They just released a new live album with one new song in December 2018 and have been hinting in interviews that a new Volbeat album could be dropping in 2019. About DED

http://dedband.com

If you're not pissed off, then you're not paying attention. Ded thrives on the aggressive spirit that is authentic to the heavy music genre. "There is an honesty and attitude about heavy music that I don't feel as often anymore" says lead singer Joe Cotela – "and we want to bring that back". Ded is loud and aggressive - but it serves as a positive outlet: the band produces an unapologetic sound that draws from the art of fantasy and expressive screams. Their debut album "Mis-An-thrope" was released on 7/21/17.

Ded was born in the music scene of Phoenix, Arizona and has been together for almost 3 years. Band members Joe Cotela (Vocals), David Ludlow (Guitar), Kyle Koelsch (Bass), and Matt Reinhard (Drums) developed a friendship and ultimately a musical partnership that mixes horror and dark imagery to develop a familiar, yet unique sound that sets them apart from other bands. Cotela says “With our music - we want to make the listener feel like how you feel after you’ve watched a really good horror movie – on edge, jittery… And very much alive”. They incorporate these volatile elements into their lyrics – with the hopes that it will breathe new life into the hard-core genre. Imagine an inspired take on outward thinking that transcends screaming, and low tuned riffs. Their sound is meant to “be in your face and tell it like it is”, while paying homage to Korn and Pantera, who served as early inspirations. Ded are also influenced by more recent bands like Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon. This is modern hard rock & alternative metal that goes beyond anger - including themes like existentialism and ego in everyday life. The lyrics are timely and resonate with an audience navigating the chaotic world we live in.

The band’s work ethic, drive, and dedication led them to record an EP that quickly made the rounds of the music industry, and started a buzz that opened doors. Using that as a springboard, the band hit the road and toured with Beartooth, Asking Alexandria, Atreyu, Every Time I Die, Upon a Burning Body, The Acacia Strain, John 5, Powerman 5000, and Insane Clown Posse among others.

Their touring helped grow awareness in the business and brought them to the attention of producer John Feldmann (Disturbed, Blink-182, Beartooth). Their collaboration with Feldmann culminated in the band signing with Jordan Schur @ Suretone Records – who discovered and grew the careers of platinum rock acts Staind and Limp Bizkit, among others. Suretone released their first song and video for “FMFY” in December 2016.

2017 was very busy year for Ded - they played all Major Rock U.S. festivals, played more than 150 live shows and toured 25 + dates with KORN and Stone Sour. Both of their 1st two singles "Anti-Everything" and "Remember The Enemy" reached the Top 20 on the Active Rock Radio charts. "Anti-Everything" was #8 on SiriusXM Octane's Top 10 for 2017 and they named the band "Artist Discovery of the Year". About Corrosion of Conformity

Corrosion of Conformity are reuniting with guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan for UK/European and North American dates. Other than a few surprise appearances, this will be the first time Keenan has toured with the band since 2006. This will also be the first time the "Deliverance" lineup of the group has played together since 2001.

C.O.C. recently emerged from hibernation as a trio and released 2012's eponymous album and 2014's "IX" to wide acclaim, but many have been eagerly awaiting the return of Pepper Keenan.

The band were originally an influential hardcore punk/heavy metal crossover act before reaching critical success with a new lineup on 1991's "Blind" album. That trajectory continued with wider appeal as Keenan took over as primary vocalist on "Deliverance" (1994) and "Wiseblood" (1996).

These two recordings in particular fused the raw energy of the previous albums with some great strides forward in classic rock inspired songwriting and more spacious production and execution, which were often copied but rarely equalled.

This juggernaut gained mass and momentum with relentless touring alongside Metallica, Clutch, Eyehategod and many more.

Eventually following "In the Arms of God", 2005, Keenan focused all energy on his hometown band Down.

Until now, that is.

Recent internet chatter on the subject of a reunion turns out be true.

About In This Moment

Throughout history, art rejoices and revels in the wisdom of women.

Within a deck of tarot cards, the High Priestess serves as the guardian of the unconscious. In Greek mythology, the old oracles celebrate the Mother Goddess. William Shakespeare posited portentous prescience in the form of MacBeth’s “Three Witches.” On their sixth full-length album Ritual, In This Moment—Maria Brink [vocals, piano], Chris Howorth [lead guitar], Travis Johnson [bass], Randy Weitzel [rhythm guitar], and Kent Diimel [drums]—unearth a furious and focused feminine fire from a cauldron of jagged heavy metal, hypnotic alternative, and smoky voodoo blues.

It’s an evolution. It’s a statement. It’s In This Moment 2017...
“It’s like we’re going into the next realm,” asserts Maria. “I had a conviction of feeling empowered in my life and with myself. I always write from a personal place, and I needed to share that sense of strength. I’ve never been afraid to hold back. Sometimes, I can be very suggestive. However, I wanted to show our fans that this is the most powerful side of myself and it’s without overt sexuality. It’s that deeper serious fire inside of my heart.”

“What Maria is saying comes from deep inside,” Chris affirms. “This time, we had a bunch of ideas started before we hit the studio. There was a really clear direction. It’s different.”

The group spent two years supporting their biggest album yet 2014’s Black Widow. Upon release, it seized their highest position to date on the Billboard Top 200, bowing at #8. Simultaneously, it clinched #3 on the Hard Rock Albums chart and spawned a series of hits such as “Sick Like Me,” “Big Bad Wolf,” and “Sex Metal Barbie”—all cracking 8 million Spotify streams each and topping Rock Radio. Meanwhile, the band’s signature smash “Whore” crossed the 20-million mark.

Furthermore, the title track off In This Moment's 2012 album, Blood, has been certified gold by the RIAA. A remarkable accomplishment, the companion music video for "Blood" has been viewed over 27 million times.
Between headline tours, they incinerated stages everywhere from Rock On The Range to Download Festival. In March 2016, Maria and Chris commenced writing for what would become the new record with longtime collaborator and multiple GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer Kevin Churko [Five Finger Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne] at his Las Vegas compound.

Following a high-profile summer 2016 tour with Korn and Rob Zombie, the duo began writing. Then, Maria visited Salem, MA for the very first time with all of the women in her family quite appropriately during Halloween.

“We were really tapping the energy there,” she says. “We were honoring each other. I was seeking inspiration and experience to inspire me in this album. I was trying to find a lot of truth in myself. I loved Salem. I was blown away by how visually beautiful it is. The history of the witch burnings is fascinating. It was a special ceremonial journey.”

Galvanized and inspired, Maria and Chris returned to Kevin’s stronghold to complete recording. In an atmosphere of candles, crystals, incense, and a cackling fireplace, they expanded their aural palette once again, welcoming a doom blues bombast into the sonic fold.

“We love Black Widow, but it was very electronic,” Chris explains. “This is a little more organic, emphasizing guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. We slowed down the groove a little bit. I got to

play some slide guitar, and I’ve never done that. There’s a bluesy side, which we’ve also never had.”

“We always want to grow and evolve,” Maria adds. “It was a chance to get a little more serious.”

That progression shines through the first single “Oh Lord.” A minimal drum and handclap echoes as Maria’s wild incantation takes hold. Guitars shiver and shake as the frontwoman delivers an undeniable refrain.

“The meaning of ‘Oh Lord’ is central to the album,” she reveals. “I should be able to have a relationship with what I perceive God to be. For me, it’s this strength and light. When I was younger, I felt guilty for thinking of these things. I’m not supposed to touch an oracle card, a tarot card, or these beautiful things, because they’re ‘bad.’ I had these fears in me for a long time like, ‘Is this wrong?’ I realized I don’t have to be afraid anymore. There’s a lot of learning and an awakening in that one.”

Inverting everyone’s favorite Billy Idol nuptial anthem, “Black Wedding” sees Maria walk down the aisle of musical madness with none other than Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. Co- written with Stevens, it’s an explosive and enchanting duet.

“I can’t believe that happened,” beams Chris. “Maria hit up Rob and asked if he was interested. He jumped right on it. I can’t believe we got him.”

“Who doesn’t love ‘White Wedding?’,” laughs Maria. “We wanted to do a spin-off that’s creative. It’s a question-and-answer between me and another voice. The chorus essentially says this isn’t going to be the opposite of a happy ending! You’re becoming empowered by heartbreak.”

Chris breaks out the slide on the raging “River of Fire,” while “Witching Hour” dances around the flames to a new wave-inspired groove and midnight lore as Maria recants, “This idea of me being burned as a witch in a past life for teaching people to be free.” Elsewhere, “Roots” practically opens up the earth with its sheer seismic force.

“Sometimes, I have to go through pain in order to forgive and let go,” she adds. “I love to thank the hate in people. It’s that sort of energy. I’ll be okay, hold my head strong, push forward, do what I’ve got to do, and prevail.”

Simultaneously, In This Moment breathe a dark new life into the Phil Collins’ classic “In The Air Tonight.”

“We can’t reproduce what he did in a million years,” she says. “It’s one of the best songs ever. We did our own interpretation and made it a little more sinister like our ritual.”

The ritual has begun, and In This Moment ignite a brighter fire than ever before here.

“When fans hear this, I want them to feel the music, whether they take away sadness, anger, or happiness,” concludes Chris. “As a kid, I remember listening to records and putting them on repeat over and over again. I’d love for the world to listen and absorb this as a piece of work.”

Maria leaves off, “I want everybody to be unafraid of who they are and not worry about what the rest of society says. Be strong. Be loud. We love our fans deeply. I hope everybody feels that love and powerful in who they are.”

Who:
You and All Your Crazy Friends
What:
Partying with Reverend Horton Heat and Zakk Sabbath
When:
Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019
Where:
Buffalo Chip Amphitheater
Why:
Because You’re Due for a Psychobilly Freakout

Anybody who’s ever been to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s music festival can attest to South Dakota’s toasty summer nights. On Saturday, Aug. 10, it’ll go from balmy to straight-up incendiary when rockabilly legends Reverend Horton Heat burn up the Wolfman Jack Stage. The Dallas, Texas-based quartet will crank the heat on the final night of the Best Party Anywhere® prior to a headlining performance by Zakk Sabbath, and you’d better have your fire extinguisher handy when they do.

Reverend Horton Heat has been converting tepid audiences to fervid believers with their revelatory rock shows since their formation in 1985. Front man and lead guitarist Jim Heath delivers their sermon of “country-fed punkabilly” with the devout candor of a rock & roll shaman whose passion for classic cars and guitars is equally apparent. His lightning-fast licks recall sounds of early American rock, blues and country icons, while also set ablaze with nitro-boosted punk rock attitude. Jimbo Wallace’s unwavering upright bass, Arjuna "RJ" Contreras’ thundering drums, and the recent addition of Matt Jordan on piano blend with Heath’s hollowbody Gretsch to create a sound that roars like a fine-tuned hot rod.

Reverend Horton Heat lives by the Gospel of Rock & Roll. Every performance is laced with a hearty dose of dysfunctional Americana humor, and the band injects three simple commandments into the hearts of every audience–rock hard, drive fast and live true.

You’ll be inspired to do the same when you hear the face-melting fretwork during the opening notes of “Psychobilly Freakout.” “Galaxy 500” humorously recounts the reality of relationships gone awry. “The Devil’s Chasing Me” will make you want to ride like Lucifer is on your tail, and “Let Me Teach You How to Eat” will have you scanning the crowd for your future ex-lover all while you boogie your brains out.

Reverend Horton Heat has been building their cult-like following with a religious fervor for over 30 years. When they take the stage during the 2019 Best Party Anywhere®, you’ll be lining up for your piece of rock & roll communion.

Don’t miss your chance to experience the one-of-a-kind rock and roll rejuvenation the Psychobilly space-cowboys in Reverend Horton Heat are famous for. Reserve your passes now!

DARK SKY CHOIR·WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10, 2019
Dark Sky Choir is an original hard rock/metal band from NJ. Formed in 2016, the band originally consisted of four veterans of the local music scene, playing the classic metal music they all grew up listening to. As their local popularity increased as a tribute band, it was inevitable that they soon began writing their own music.

In late 2017, original vocalist, Hollywood How, and bassist Joe Stabile were replaced with Brian Allen and John Moyer, respectively. Allen has been the voice of various bands throughout the years, most notably as the front man for Vicious Rumors for almost a decade. Moyer is best known as the Grammy nominated bassist for the world-renowned metal group Disturbed, with whom he has recorded and toured since 2004.

Inspired by a lifetime love of metal, Dark Sky Choir brings years of live and recording experience to the stage with their own brand of hard rock and metal. Their debut album was released in 2017 and was soon followed up in March of 2018 with a brand-new, self-titled EP featuring the new lineup, as they embark on their first national tour, opening for Fozzy.

BRIAN ALLEN
Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Brian Allen is currently the front man for the Bay Area thrash-metal band Vicious Rumors. He has long been a staple of the metal scene, singing with such bands as Last Empire (who signed with the Underground Symphony Label in 1999), and Two-Headed Beast, since 2015. He joined Dark Sky Choir in the fall of 2017 to record their self-titled EP.

IRA BLACK
Ira Black recently joined the band in March 2019 and will be a featured on the bands new album End of Days and U.S. Tour with Bobaflex. Black is a 35 year metal guitar veteran who has played in many bands including METAL CHURCH, VICIOUS RUMORS, LIZZY BORDEN and I AM MORBID.

JOHN MOYER
John Moyer is best known as the Grammy-nominated bassist and back-up vocalist for the heavy metal band Disturbed. Taking over in 2004 after Steve "Fuzz" Kmak was fired, Moyer has played bass-guitar with the group since their third studio album, Ten Thousand Fists. Moyer was also the bassist for the Texas-based Union Underground, before joining Adrenaline Mob from 2012 through 2014. After his departure from A-Mob, he was a founding member of the metal supergroup The Foundry, alongside former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley, guitarist Rick Plester, and legendary Twisted Sister drummer, the late AJ Pero. In 2015 he joined Operation: Mindcrime, featuring former Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate. Following stints with Art of Anarchy (with Scott Stapp), and Stereo Satellite, Moyer joined Dark Sky Choir in the fall of 2017, and can be heard on their brand-new self-titled EP.

MIKE SAKOWSKI
Drummer Mike Sakowski has been a member of the local NY/NJ music scene for almost four decades as a performer and instructor. In 1983, Mike co-founded the metal band Exxplorer, with whom he played and toured for more than 30 years. Since the early 1990’s he has played with various groups including, Tin Pan Alley, Yesterday’s Child, and numerous cover bands. He is a founding member of Dark Sky Choir.

About Saul
Website: http://saulofficial.com

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/saulbandofficial

Twitter: https://twitter.com/saulband

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/saulbandofficial

The Iowa based hard rock band SAUL is the result of a profound passion for music shared by brothers Blake and Zach Bedsaul. They always knew music would be their life and worked tirelessly to develop a sound that pushes the boundaries of modern rock music. SAUL places a great amount of focus on writing songs that mean something. Forming their sonic inspiration listening to bands like Tool, Pearl Jam, Nothing More, and Tesseract, the band went through a few lineup changes after high school, but the sound was starting to take shape. Blake and Zach had a vision and kept writing and working tirelessly until they brought that vision to life. That vision is a sound that is both modern and precise, but also chaotic and turbulent.

SAUL has now rounded out its lineup to include William McIlravy (Bass Guitar/Backup Vocals), Joe Nichols (Drums), Blake Bedsaul (Lead Vocals), and Zach Bedsaul (Lead Guitar/Backup Vocals). Everyone shares the same passion and the music reflects their chemistry as a band.

SAUL is already gaining massive amounts of attention in their home state of Iowa and beyond. Bringing in new fans with every performance, you can hear the soul of the music and get lost in its timeless, aggressive, and haunting melodies.

Set to release their debut studio effort (AEONS) in the spring 2019, SAUL isn’t holding anything back. The first single is an emotional roller coaster about death and the struggles of dealing with loss. "Brother” is the embodiment of the band and its message. It is how music should be. It's real, raw, aggressive and satiated with intent.

Front-man Blake Bedsaul states the following in regards to the new single, “Lyrically, this song defines what I should have said to my brother in his last moments. This song cuts deep for me and It’s a constant reminder that life is fleeting. Tell the people in your life that you love them.”

On January 24th, 2019 SAUL plans to announce their arrival by not just tapping you on the shoulder, but punching you in the face with their lead single, "Brother".

Keep an ear out for the track on radio airwaves nationwide.

About Badflower
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/wearebadflower/

Twitter: http://twitter.com/badflower/

Website: http://www.badflowermusic.com/

Badflower don’t care what you think about them. They don’t care whether you get what they’re doing, because their thoroughly modern rock is more ahead of the curve than anyone else you might try and pigeonhole them with. And they really don’t care whether you like the messages in their songs, because what they sing about is important, if uncomfortable.

That attitude might seem misguided for a band who have yet to release their debut album. In this age where music’s money comes largely from touring, fans are more important than ever - they’re the ones who buy the tickets to shows and ultimately give artists the opportunity to keep playing and progressing. But the LA four-piece aren’t complete beginners - since forming in 2013, frontman Josh Katz, guitarist Joey Morrow, drummer Anthony Sonetti, and bassist Alex Espiritu have toured relentlessly across the US and beyond, building up a reputation as a formidable live force as well as an ever-growing mass of loyal followers and praise from the likes of Billboard, Forbes, and Consequence Of Sound.

Though the band credit their years of gigging with giving them the life experience to write their debut album, ‘OK, I’M SICK’, it’s also had its downsides, especially for Katz. The singer and guitarist suffers from anxiety and panic disorder - something that he’s had to learn how to cope with on the road. “I once ran off stage mid-song and just had to take a beat and was very confused,” he says, offering an example of how the problem can affect him. “I wasn’t sure if I should be throwing up or sitting down. Typically, it’s just clenching every muscle in my body until it hopefully goes away. I can barely stand up, barely get notes out. It’s all of these feelings at once.”

It’s that problem that inspired ‘Ghost’, the band’s big breakthrough single. After coming home from tour, Katz was so fed up with what he had to go through to get on stage every night, he was in two minds whether to carry on with music. “If I’m miserable every night, why am I doing it?” he asked himself. It was that song, which reached the top of the US charts, that saved Badflower.

Despite its success, the group was initially sceptical about it being more than an album track. In its often graphic lyrics, Katz plays out a dark, suicidal fantasy - “This life is overwhelming and I’m ready for the next one,” he sighs resignedly at one point. They worried listeners would think they were glorifying suicide, cynically using a very real and serious problem for their own gain. “But people got it immediately and we realised how many people are affected by depression, panic disorder, and anxiety issues,” Katz explains. “You hear about it all the time, you see it on every commercial - there’s some anti-depressant being sold to you because everybody has these issues - but people don’t like to talk about it that much.”

While ‘Ghost’ is a somewhat harrowing take on mental health issues, not all of ‘OK, I’M SICK’ is as serious. Opener ‘x ANA x’ (inspired in part by Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre documentary The Defiant Ones) tackles a similar topic but with a far more sardonic tone. An ode to the helpful qualities of Xanax, it’s eyebrow-raising, incredibly self-aware and rife with meta moments (in one breakdown Katz cheerily asks: “Hey, wanna see what happens when I mix Xanax, blow, and a MacBook Pro?”). Along with the constantly changing music - be it speeding up, stuttering almost to the brink of collapse, or weaving even more claustrophobic layers together - it adds up to something completely manic.

“The whole song is meant to feel like a panic attack - unexplained chaos happening within you,” Katz says. “We wrote that song together and then I took what we had to our house in the desert and stayed awake all night and, like a mad scientist, destroyed everything and chopped it up. I didn’t feel like it was manic enough. It’s making fun of anxiety but it’s also making fun of itself.”

As a band with plenty to say, mental health isn’t the only message Badflower share on their debut. ‘Murder Games’ is the album’s most intense and urgent sounding cut, metallic, guillotine-esque swishes entwined with a punishing guitar line that sets you on edge. Its lyrics speak about veganism (Katz has been vegan for four years) in uncompromising terms. “That’s gonna alienate our band like crazy,” the frontman shrugs, unbothered. “We think it’s something important that needs to be talked about so we’re gonna talk about it. It’s about getting the conversation started. It’s about getting people to look at it in a different way and not be so passive about the idea that something in society that you grew up hearing was right might not be as right as you think.”

‘Die’ also has the potential to cause controversy. Partly a damning assessment of Trump’s position on the environment (Morrow is keen to point out the President is not the only target of the song), it features Katz screaming the title as if his own life depends on it. But his sentiment is not what you might immediately assume. “It doesn’t mean, ‘Hey, go get murdered’ or ‘I’m gonna kill you’,” he clarifies. “It’s more all of those people who are so stuck in their ways, who are afraid of change and afraid of evolution, need to get old and die off so the next generation can come up and make some change and do something good.” Despite first appearances, it’s intended as a statement of progression. “We’re meant to move forward, not stagnate,” Espiritu notes.

Elsewhere, the album navigates subjects like abuse (‘Daddy’), depression in the face of success (’24’), and social media stalking (‘Girlfriend’). The latter merges old and new, layering lyrics about Instagram filters and the internet over a big blues-rock jam. “We’ve always wanted to write about that anyway,” says Katz, “and it was the perfect, wacky blues riff to write that over. I think we came up with something very special.”

Badflower’s focus might be on big conversations but that doesn’t mean they aren’t happy to turn their attention to less weighty subjects too. ‘Promise Me’ is the only traditional love song on the record but not even it can escape the band’s entrenched darkness. “That’s my proudest moment on the album,” Espiritu says. “We talk about doing what we want and what the spirit of rock and roll is, and then we have ‘Promise Me’, which is this leftfield, beautiful, romantic love song, and we’re able to spin it and make it our own.” The making it their own, Katz explains, involves one of the song’s characters meeting their maker.

Produced with Noah Shain (Atreyu, Dead Sara), ‘OK, I’M SICK’ represents a band full of ideas and submerged in the most modern of sounds. The band’s intention was to make the most 2018 album they possibly could, unfazed by the idea it could sound dated a few years down the line. “Timeless music is amazing but everybody’s trying so hard to make timeless music that they’re making vague, cookie-cutter shit,” Katz says. “It sounds like everything else and I don’t think there’s really many rock bands who are trying to write anything current. We wanted to make something for this generation.”

You might have realised by now this band isn’t one to limit themselves. “We don’t even consider ourselves a rock band,” Katz says defiantly. “If we decide to put out a rap album next week, we’re gonna do it. Watch us. We don’t fucking care. We do what we want. Rock and roll used to be about that spirit and that got lost somewhere.” You can count on Badflower to put it right back in the heart of things, whether anyone else likes it or not.
