The Guess Who is a Canadian rock band, formed in Winnipeg in 1962. Initially gaining recognition in Canada, the group found international success from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s primarily under the leadership of songwriters Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman (later of Bachman–Turner Overdrive) and recorded many hit singles, including "No Time", "American Woman", "Laughing", "These Eyes", "Undun" and "Share the Land". Formed as a garage rock band,[1] their musical style encompassed the pop rock[2] and psychedelic rock[3] genres.

The band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987.[4] In 2002, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Garry Peterson, Donnie McDougall and Bill Wallace received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement for the Guess Who's contribution to popular music in Canada.[5] The band officially disbanded in 1975, with occasional reunions of the classic lineup since then. A band with one remaining original member, drummer Garry Peterson, continues to record and perform under the Guess Who name to this day.

No matter how hard you bang your head, the aggressively catchy songs you hear performed by Trapt on Saturday, Aug. 8 are sure to be stuck there for the duration of the Sturgis Rally. The California-based hard rock quartet’s blend of biting lyrics, irresistible hooks and heavy instrumentals has produced a huge list of hits that have practically been required listening at any party for the past two decades. And number ones like “Stand Up,” “Still Frame” and “Headstrong” have been totally escapable.

Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Royal Bliss has been making their mark for years with a consistent work ethic of writing, recording, and touring that have helped build the success of the band. Their wide variety of influences from Led Zeppelin to Johnny Cash mold the sound that is uniquely theirs and cannot be denied. Their music speaks to the common man, tells a story and rocks out with a good party crowd, all the while being delivered by the inimitable deep and raspy voice of front man, Neal Middleton.

Royal Bliss began as a rock band achieving early success with their music on several rock radio stations. In 2009 their Capitol Records debut Life In-Between charted on the Billboard Top 200 and was #1 in Billboard Heatseekers. In 2012, the independently released Waiting Out The Storm reached #9 on the iTunes Rock Chart and hit #2 in Billboard Heatseekers. In 2014, Chasing The Sun was recorded and released again on their own label, Air Castle Records, with distribution through Universal (INgrooves) Music Group. On the Chasing The Sun album the alternative roots of the band shined on the album’s single "Cry Sister” that climbed the Active Rock chart to (#31) and was Royal Bliss’ 6th Single to crack the top 50 on Active Rock radio. After a brief hiatus from the Rock World, Royal Bliss came back in 2018 with a vengeance. They released “Devil with Angel Eyes” which made it to Top 50 on Mediabase and BDS charts and headlined a tour across the United States.

2019 has been a big year for Royal Bliss as their single, “Hard and Loud,” charted in the top 40 Active Rock Chart. The 2nd single "Hard and Loud" strengthened their Active Rock presence. "Hard and Loud" broke Top 40 on Mediabase and BDS Rock Charts. The 3rd single “Pain” was released to Rock Radio to coincide with the release of the new album ROYAL BLISS. “Pain” quickly began climbing the radio charts and broke Top 30 on Mediabase, and Top 25 on BDS and Foundation charts. The new single,” Paranoid” has already shot up the radio charts – already reaching to Top 25 on Mediabase, BDS/Billboard, BDS/Billboard Indicator, and the Foundations Radio Chart.

Royal Bliss has headlined many tours, toured with acts in the Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative genres, and have grown into seasoned and dynamic live performers with a solid fan base across the country. “We have always done our own thing by singing songs about things that are real and that are happening to us in the current state of the world" Says Middleton.

Since the beginning, Fozzy has been about hard work, dedication and delivering great rock n roll to their devoted fans worldwide; reminding them that music is all about invoking dirty, sweaty jubilation and doing it LOUDLY!

However, calling them just “entertainers” would be abridging their talent as Ward is one of the most versatile, underrated riffers in rock n roll and Jericho’s vocal range and passion for music makes one wonder just how he is able to excel in pretty much everything he does. Throw in the powerhouse rock solid drumming of Frank Fontsere, the blazing leads of Billy Grey and the genius & energy of returning bassist Paul DiLeo and it's no surprise that Fozzy has skyrocketed into becoming one of the hottest rock acts in years.

In a career spanning 15 years, Morgan has released five studio albums and a live recording from his hometown of Flint, Michigan. Additionally, he has toured relentlessly averaging over 125 shows annually. Rolling Stone has described him as a "Waylon Jennings acolyte.. modern day outlaw [with a] hard hitting blue-collar brand of music" while NPR Music hailed, "Staying close to the sound and subject matter of classic outlaw artists like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and David Allan Coe, Morgan is poised to lead this hand-worn brand of country to the next generation." His most recent LP, Sonic Ranch (2015), was released to critical acclaim and praised by Detroit Free Press as, "a bold well-crafted album that doesn't forsake the gritty undercurrent running through Morgan's stuff."

Whitey Morgan and the 78's anticipated new album, self-produced by Morgan, was recorded in the Neve Room at famed Sonic Ranch Studios in Tornillo, Texas. Featured on the record are collaborations with acclaimed songwriters Travis Meadows and Ward Davis plus a cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid." Alongside Morgan, the 78's consist of Brett Robinson (pedal steel guitar), Joey Spina (guitar), Alex Lyon (bass) and Eric Savage (drums).

Of the recording, Morgan shares, "It's not like my vision happened overnight. I've been chipping away at it forever. It's slowly evolving and it's going in a little bit different direction. It's not so straightforward anymore. This record definitely has a wider path, it's broader, but it still sounds like a Whitey Morgan record." With grandparents from Tennessee and Kentucky and hometown roots in Flint, Michigan, Morgan's family geography has factored into his approach to music.

  1. To raise awareness of the passion, diversity and spirit of women in motorcycling, celebrating women’s role in shaping the culture, art and history of motorcycling.
  2. To use the event to raise funds for local charities that would be of particular interest to these very women. This charity event has been raising monies for worthy causes since its inception in 2009. Your contribution in 2020 will help the Biker Belles continue its mission of charitable giving.

JOIN THE COMMUNITY

All—men and women, riders and non-riders—are welcome to join this gathering of mentorship and sharing.

Participants are asked to make a $65 contribution to join the festivities, 100 percent of which directly benefit three South Dakota-based charities that benefit women-related causes, Helping with Horsepower, the Strider Foundation and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame.

Don’t miss your opportunity to gather, ride and share stories during the 2019 Biker Belles event. Reserve your place now!

LIVE THE JOURNEY

The Biker Belles legacy began 12 years ago with a vision to create a women’s charity ride.

The idea later blossomed to become much bigger and broader with the involvement of a group of women who wanted to make a difference.

Hall of Famers Gloria Struck, Cris Sommer Simmons and Laura Klock, along with ride expert Meg McDonough, all wanted to elevate their support for women in motorcycling and encourage new riders into the sport and lifestyle they themselves knew and loved so much.

Motorcycling had been a vehicle for change in the lives of these women, so they felt called to improve the event to recognize those who paved the way, raise funds to support the preservation of this history and build up the lives of the next generation of young girls in the local community.

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip shared this vision, and so a symposium was added, the Comfort Zone and silent auction was created, and later Ambassador Diva Amy Skaling and Ride Safety Captain Vicky Roberts-Sanfelipo joined the celebration. In 2016 Kelly Yazdi brought the Wild Gypsy Tour women to the circle.

The Biker Belles community continues to grow and has earned the reputation of the home for women coming to Sturgis for the rally. What started out as a women’s ride every year has now expanded to a day-long event for everyone—women, men, riders, passenger riders, non riders—to celebrate and support women and their role in the sport of motorcycling.

The Biker Belles program continues to evolve as riders’ interests and passions continue to change.

8:00 AM - 23:59 PM

Follow in the footsteps of fierce Native American warriors and the US Cavalry and experience the history and lore of the American West on the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s Western Frontier Motorcycle Rides!

Ride alongside local historian Paul Mitchell as he takes you and your friends on a ride back in time from the legendary Buffalo Chip Campground to the gravesite of Jonathon “Buffalo Chips” White, the campground’s namesake and protégé of Buffalo Bill Cody.

Each ride will offer you the chance to experience history hands on with activities including rifle and pistol shooting experiences, and a four-hour motorcycle expedition to the site of the Great Sioux Nation Battle at Slim Buttes.

The Western Heritage Motorcycle Rides will take place during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Tuesday, Aug. 11 and Thursday, Aug. 13. Each ride is limited to 20 participants.

As you ride through the scenic foothills north of the Black Hills, listen and learn the unique history of the area as Mitchell shares the fascinating stories of Chief American Horse, Jonathon “Buffalo Chips” White, and the Battle of Slim Buttes. You’ll also learn about the US Cavalry, Cavalry scouts, several other instrumental Sioux Chiefs, Buffalo Bill Cody, Hugh Glass, the history of Pony Express, and much more!

Morning Meet Up (8 a.m.)

Antique Rifle Shooting

Hoover, SD

After 53 miles, you’ll be able to stretch your legs and hear historical remarks during a stop at the Hoover General Store on the Grand River, famous for its connection with Hugh Glass and the movie The Reverent.

They say it’s not the size of the bike that matters, but rather how you customize it. Nowhere will that simple truth be more evident than the first ever Snap Fabrications Camp Zero Mini Bike Show featuring Joe Mielke of Snap Fabrications during Anarchy Day, Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Camp Zero!

Whether you’re a master fabricator or a self-deprecator, having Zero Fun and letting your freak flag fly is the name of the game. The show will have two classes– Coleman Powersports mini bikes, and all other things mini and two-wheeled. As long as it’s small in stature and big in character, give that puppy a pull-start and ride it on in to Camp Zero for a little bit of fun.

Other Anarchy Day tomfoolery to include the Go Fast Don't Die x Gambler 500 Anarchy Games, the J&P Cycles Hillclimb, Run Thru The Hills Hooligan Scramble, Sena Barrel Races, Led Sled Customs Sportster Showdown, Unsung Zero Beer Wall Stunt, and Snap Fabrications Tramp Camp Party.

Everyone’s talking about the fastest growing segment of the motorcycle industry: women riders. Companies and organizations tout the 19% of female riders as the hope of the industry - as though they had anything to do with it! Who’s putting the spark in motorcycling? Women riders, that’s who, and it’s time to celebrate that fact and claim our place with a record Women Riders Turnout.

On Tuesday August 11 as the Biker Belles wraps up at the Buffalo Chip during the 2020 Sturgis Rally, the same year we mark the centennial of the 19th amendment conferring on women the right to vote, we’ll show the motorcycle industry and the riding world what that 19% looks like, in a real-time, visible way that can’t be ignored.

Louisville's FLAW has been a mainstay in the hard rock/metal scene for over twenty years. With Chris Volz at the helm, the band has been touring the country nonstop. FLAW's latest release, VOL IV: Because of the Brave, hits hard with a heavy sound apt for headbanging. Amid the rocking hooks, the band offers songs with a mixture of personal, patriotic, and heartfelt lyrics. The new album drops on July 19, 2019, via Pavement Entertainment.

FLAW’s story began with the independent release of home-grown albums American Arrogance (1996), Flaw (1998) and Drama (2000). It was the songs on these recordings that garnered the attention of Universal Republic Records, who signed the band and released the break-through Through the Eyes in 2001. The album topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart, largely fueled by the singles "Payback" and "Whole."

The band then followed-up with an album entitled Endangered Species via Republic in 2004, but soon thereafter the band went through personnel changes and ended their relationship with the label. Volz stayed creative, releasing a critically acclaimed solo record, and also touring aggressively with the band Five.Bolt.Main. The band’s tumultuous relationship with themselves, and their label, were reflected in their songs.

It was the life and energy captured in these songs that propelled the band forward. It was always FLAW fans’ connection to their songs that carried the band on. “We would not be where we are today without our hardcore fans,” says Volz. “The Flaw Family is the backbone of everything we do."

FLAW signed with Pavement Entertainment in 2015. With a new label and fresh outlook, they were ready to make music again. The following year, they released their next full-length studio album, Divided We Fall, and the EP, United We Stand, in 2017. After actively touring the US and making an apperance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert with their single "Conquer This Climb," FLAW is ready for the world to hear VOL IV: Because of the Brave.

Hairball is more than just a band, and certainly more than a tribute band!

A band puts on a concert - Hairball puts on an event! Hairball is a Rock & Roll experience you won't soon forget. The lights, sound, smoke, fire, bombs, and screaming hoards of avid fans...to merely call it a concert would be like calling Mount Rushmore a roadside attraction!

Vocalists Joe, Kris and Bobby lead the band through a 2+ hour, mind-blowing, and drop- dead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world. Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night.

The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of HBK on the electric bass, Billy on the drums, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all time, while adding their own style and flare that they've cultivated over decades of tireless performing. This isn’t a side job. These guys eat, sleep and breathe Rock & Roll!

2020 finds Hairball celebrating its 20th year of rocking hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Constantly adding more characters, more pyrotechnics, more lights, more sound, more props, more surprises...more everything! While Happy often tells the audience "Today is the first day is the rest of your life!" Hairball performs every show as though it could be their last. Every night is a 100% full-on, no-holds-barred, exciting, chaotic, fiery party that has to be experienced to be believed!

As important to Hairball as the music, are its fans. While many bands claim to have the best fans in the world, Hairball actually has! Whether they are 10 years old or 100, Hairball fans bring an unparalleled enthusiasm and energy to the show that enhances the arena experience. Hairball knows it wouldn't exist without its fans and takes every opportunity to let them know that. Whether it's a pre-show meet and greet, hanging out at the merch booth, or chatting online, Hairball has a lot in common with its fans and it's always a good time when they get together.

Don't confuse Hairball with the countless "80's Tribute" bands across the country. Hairball is an experience, an attitude, and expression of music that isn't simply a retro flashback. It's a way of life, and it's not going anywhere soon!

Since 2008 Saving Abel has embodied the definition of “Southern Rock.” Even before their “Self Titled” debut LP, they were barnstorming the country making fans everywhere they went, just by being themselves. Simple, down home, charming, country-boys with immeasurable talent that was destined to take them straight to the top. The band was signed by A&R wizard Jason Flom to Capitol records and their first single, “Addicted” did just that, reaching number one on several charts and the follow-up singles “18 Days” and “Drowning” helped sell over 750,000 copies of their debut album. They toured heavily in support of this album, playing with Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold, and later on Nickelback, in arenas across North America. Night after night, the boys would go back to the bus with their ears ringing from 15,000 fans screaming their lyrics.

Knowing that they would need something great to follow up with, the boys set out to write their sophomore album on Capitol, “Miss America.” Topping the Active Rock and Hard Rock charts yet again with “Sex is Good” and “Stupid Girl” solidified Saving Abel’s place both on the radio and live. Setting out on their own tour this time, Saving Abel headlined theaters around the country for almost 2 years non-stop. They toured with several artists and made a lot of friends along the way, but always kept their focus on the fans, and their eyes toward the future.

For some artists making music isn't a choice, it's fueled by something larger than themselves. This is undoubtedly true of Fire From The Gods whose second full-length American Sun sees them adopting the tagline “In Us We Trust” meaning “we the people” are responsible for change; a unifying statement in order to try to prevent society from succumbing to the growing malaise brought on by soul-sucking technology, divisive politics and environmental destruction. “With this record what we're trying to drive home is that our differences and where we are from doesn't need to define who we are moving forward,” frontman AJ Channer explains. “Like [2016's] Narrative I'm telling the story from my perspective, but it's a story that people from all walks of life can relate to in the sense that we all face the same challenges... and the only way to conquer them is if we face them together.”

Fire From the Gods have experienced their share of ups and downs since the Austin, Texas-based act released their David Bendeth-produced (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore) debut three years ago. Since then, the band—which also features drummer Richard Wicander, guitarists Drew Walker and Jameson Teat and bassist Bonner Baker—have toured incessantly with acts like Sevendust and Of Mice & Men, played festivals ranging from the Vans Warped Tour to the country’s largest Rock festival, Rock On The Range, re-released their debut as The Narrative Untold featuring new songs produced by Jonathan Davis of Korn and spread their message to fans all over the world. However instead of resting on their laurels, the act doubled down on their message with American Sun, their first album after signing with juggernauts Better Noise (fka Eleven Seven Music Group). “I think this record is a lot more personal because I've become a lot more open about who I am and what I've had to deal with,” Channer explains. Channer spent his childhood shuffling between London, New York, Los Angeles, Norfolk and Ghana, giving him a unique perspective on the world, however the issues that he's dealt with such as anxiety, depression, anger, rejection and loss are universal.

This is evident on the album's first single “Not Built To Collapse (Truth To The Weak).” “It started out as this triumphant call-to-action sort of song but like everything with Fire From The Gods and a lot of my writing, it's centered around self-reflection, being self-aware and, most importantly, accepting responsibility for your actions. Over driving drums and relentless riffing, the song sees Channer alternating between hip-hop rhyming and melodic singing as he spits lyrics like, “Let that boy speak / he bringing truth to the weak.” “That line is about the fact that there's always someone that's going to try to shut you down, even if it's your own fear of rejection or being told your not good enough,” he explains. “There's always someone with a louder mouth than you saying that you don't know what you're talking about. That is what the protagonist in the story of American Sun is struggling with throughout the album.”

American Sun was recorded, engineered and mixed by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Issues) over a two-month period in Los Angeles, which was a new experience for the band and one that lent itself to creating a nuanced album that grows more engaging with each listen. While the band only had a brief yet productive window of time to write and record Narrative, for American Sun the band were able to take their time when it came to not only the songwriting but also to the album's instrumentation and arrangements. “The songs on this album are the culmination of a lot of different sessions which I think was quite beneficial because we were in a lot of different moods at certain points in the writing process,” Wicander says. “Being in LA with so much time really helped us be able to curate everything and get it exactly how we wanted it.” However the band also stayed open to allowing things to happen spontaneously, which is evidenced in the syncopated, hip-hop anthem “They Don't Like It,” a song that came together organically during a one-day burst of inspiration.

Since the current lineup of the act coalesced in 2015, Fire From The Gods have integrated elements of metal, rock, hip-hop and modern rock into their sound, however they never do it in a way that's methodical or contrived. “If the song calls for screaming and angry vocals I'll do that and if it calls for something a little more melodic that's what I do, it's just about the emotion of the song and how I'm feeling at the moment,” Channer explains. “I like to say we wrote a rock record with a hip-hop ethos.” From the radio-ready hook of the opener “Victory” to the detuned groove of “All My Heroes Are Dead,” the music on American Sun is less about trying to recreate an already successful sound and more about inspiring an emotion that resonates with the listener. “People talk about emo music but in all truth and fairness I feel like all music is emotional. If music doesn't evoke an emotion why are you doing it or why are you listening to it?” he continues. “If I can create something that touches somebody and make them feel the message of the song, that's ultimately my goal,” he adds.

“You can be stronger than your past, you can be stronger than the influences that are out there,” Channer says of the “cannibal mind” that wants to consume us all. More than ever somebody needs to step up to be the voice of the voiceless—and with American Sun, Fire From The Gods have ambitiously taken on that task and crafted a truly timeless album in the process.

"Listen to the lyrics, they're going to make you feel something... " - Mixi

That something is the essence of Stitched Up Heart - a band built around the strength that comes from realizing we are the only ones that control our lives, and focused on the hope that reminds us there is always light at the end of the darkest tunnel. It's something heavy and powerful, jarring the album's epic closing track "I Can't Breathe" from a piano-paced ballad that would do Lady Gaga proud, to a metallic onslaught of drop-tuned guitars that is sure to see the band sharing a stage with the hardest of their hard rock peers. And it is something undeniable, Mixi's voice taking flight amidst anthems of self-awareness that bridge the unrelenting confidence of In This Moment's Maria Brink and the soulful transcendence of Adele.

The Iowa based hard rock band SAUL is the result of a profound passion for music shared by brothers Blake and Zach Bedsaul. They always knew music would be their life and worked tirelessly to develop a sound that pushes the boundaries of modern rock music. SAUL places a great amount of focus on writing songs that mean something. Forming their sonic inspiration listening to bands like Tool, Pearl Jam, Nothing More, and Tesseract, the band went through a few lineup changes after high school, but the sound was starting to take shape. Blake and Zach had a vision and kept writing and working tirelessly until they brought that vision to life. That vision is a sound that is both modern and precise, but also chaotic and turbulent.

SAUL has now rounded out its lineup to include William McIlravy (Bass Guitar/Backup Vocals), Joe Nichols (Drums), Blake Bedsaul (Lead Vocals), and Zach Bedsaul (Lead Guitar/Backup Vocals). Everyone shares the same passion and the music reflects their chemistry as a band.

SAUL is already gaining massive amounts of attention in their home state of Iowa and beyond. Bringing in new fans with every performance, you can hear the soul of the music and get lost in its timeless, aggressive, and haunting melodies.

Set to release their debut studio effort (AEONS) in the spring 2019, SAUL isn’t holding anything back. The first single is an emotional roller coaster about death and the struggles of dealing with loss. "Brother” is the embodiment of the band and its message. It is how music should be. It's real, raw, aggressive and satiated with intent.

Front-man Blake Bedsaul states the following in regards to the new single, “Lyrically, this song defines what I should have said to my brother in his last moments. This song cuts deep for me and It’s a constant reminder that life is fleeting. Tell the people in your life that you love them.”

On January 24th, 2019 SAUL plans to announce their arrival by not just tapping you on the shoulder, but punching you in the face with their lead single, "Brother".

Keep an ear out for the track on radio airwaves nationwide.

Grubb, a drummer with 30 years' experience, has played the role of Ozzy before in the tribute band, “Madman Diaries.“  That experience along with his spot-on vocals, looks, and even tattoos, make Grubb one of the best Ozzy impersonators around.
