A CUSTOMER COMMENT ABOUT
BIG BEAR CHOPPERS
I recently received a note from a blog subscriber and Big Bear Choppers customer, who it just so happens is a veteran of the United States Armed Services…….the note says it all about Big Bear Choppers.
Buck,
In March of 2010, I retired from the Army and started working again with a company that would take me overseas often. After 3 tours to combat and with my selection of occupation which takes me away from home often, I thought I would treat myself to a nice sled. In October 2010, I set everything into motion with American Motorcycle in Washington to start the build. When I got there, the experience was great. I sat there with Gordon the shop owner, picking and choosing between things to make it “my” bike and a one of a kind. Once everything was agreed upon, I gave them a check for the complete bike minus costs for additional equipment I know I would be requesting as the build continues. I was told that the build would be approximately 4 months because the kits would be sent up from BBC. To no fault of American Motorcycles, the build was delayed. And that has continued since then until present. Gordon detailed the build http://www.americanmotorcycles.com/project.htm but without the help of BBC, things will have to be made locally.
I was really upset to find out that BBC left so many people hanging. I was strung along by BBC and I can only imagine the people that have sent their deposits in only to hear that BBC is out of business. It even sickened me to see Chris Angel getting all 8 of his motorcycles completed in the year it took to get my bike half done.
I am grateful that my friends have not been hit by this after they showed interest in purchasing from BBC. Now they see what I am going through and have since steered far away from there. The Feds are now involved, and I hope Mona and Kevin get what they deserve…not to mention, the people who thought they were buying a dream only to live in a nightmare, get some closure on this matter.
Have a nice day!
