A pretty damming article in buzz feed news about the sturgis rally , claiming it’s was the largest super spreader of Covid-19 in the world ! Accounting for 260,000 new cases across the us costing the economy 12 billion dollars, most of the data was obtained by cell phone tracking , they are watching you  :(

The article made a lot of big claims but nothing that really matches reality. Less than 200 cases in the northern hills, the real uptick in SD is from the nursing homes and students on the Eastern side of the State... Sioux Falls. And all the surrounding states are experiencing a slowdown of new cases as well. 205,000 cases and only 1 death? Another real world number that doesn't match.
Our 'uptick' in corona cases was a big percentage point, but the numbers are so low it's like saying 'wow a 500% increase!!!' because we went from 10 people to 50.

Good morning, third day of total smoke from the West Coast fires. Who guest smoke for September in this 2020 year?

Empty room or empty head...I'm sure I qualify for the latter. Red sun and thick smoke haze in the air this morning, was hoping to worship the sun on the boat today as the temps are supposed to be near 80. :drinking:

We have the smoke and haze here as well. Yesterday there was ash falling from the sky. And we are not near any fires  It is amazing how the winds can blow it from the west coast all the way to the middle of the Prairies.

Hello Empty Room, sounds like the makings for a good country song. That's how Willie Nelson wrote "Hello Walls', they stuck him in an empty room and he came out with a great song.

"Four strong winds that blow lonely" that is what brings you smoke from the West Coast. Plenty more to send your way.
