What is a Wheel Dock? It is a stand-alone front wheel docking system for motorcycles. Wheel Dock holds the motorcycle securely in an upright position on any flat level surface, locked in place for easy convenient access to either side of the motorcycle for cleaning or maintenance. Wheel Dock, can also be bolted onto a flat wooden-bed trailer for transporting a motorcycle. The patented Wheel Dock system securely holds the front wheel in place without the need to compress the fork tubes, and tie it down when compressed. It is recommended that the front wheel be secured to the Wheel Dock device with a tie down strap for added security. When a motorcycle is being transported on a trailer using a Wheel Dock, the motorcycle’s suspension action is not canceled by compression and strapping. The motorcycle floats as it would, if being ridden. Hardware is included with every Wheel Dock to allow wooden flat-bed trailer mounting. The trailer mounting hardware allows quick removal of the Wheel Dock so it can be used elsewhere, and then quickly reattached to the trailer as needed for transport. Front wheel tire size determines which of the several models of Wheel Dock are to be used with any given model two wheeler. Watch as a Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide motorcycle is being parked in an upright position using the Wheel Dock.

Shown are two different Wheel Dock models. On the left is the Wheel Dock for 16 inch front wheels (typical HD Touring models) On the right is the Wheel Dock for motorcycles with 19 inch wheel tire assemblies.

The Wheel Dock must be “cocked” prior to use by depressing the jaw until the foot pedal (lower right) rises as the jaw locks into the cocked position.

Line up the front wheel with the Wheel Dock frame.

Ride the motorcycle into the Wheel Dock.

With the left foot the pedal can now be depressed which allows the jaw to come up and lock the bike in position. Leave the motorcycle engaged in first gear.

This motorcycle is safely secured in the upright position.

Note how the Wheel Dock locks onto the tire not making any contact with the wheel.

The motorcycle is perpendicular (upright at a 90 degree angle) to the surface allowing equal convenient access to ethier side of the motorcycle.

Releasing the front wheel from the Wheel Dock is easy. Push down on the jaw until the locking pedal rises to hold it open. If the motorcycle transmission is in first gear it will not roll backwards.

Either shift the transmission into neutral, or hold in the clutch lever and roll the motorcycle out of the Wheel Dock.
