POODLE RIDES A BAGGER

On Monday August 7th 2012 between approximately 8:00 am and 9:30 am I counted more than 1800 motorcycles traveling both directions between Deadwood, South Dakota, and Sturgis South Dakota. 65-75 percent of the traffic was Sturgis bound, with the balance headed to Deadwood, probably for one the many all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets that Deadwood is famous for. Sturgis Rally Traffic is definitely higher than last year’s event. With people watching (on bikes) being the number one sport during the rally for my of us, besides riding the hills, one should never be surprised by anything they see. I know I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if I saw an elephant on the back of a bagger. OK OK, may THAT would surprise me! I have yet to see that phenomena but I did see a standard Poodle on the back of a bagger enroute to Sturgis traveling at 65 MPH. I’m thinking the Poodle must have been having fun…..he or she seemed to have a big time doggie grin in place, or maybe that was just my perception. You tell me……here’s the photo.
