AT LEAST ONE BIG BEAR CUSTOMER MAY LOSE 10K DEPOSIT!
On November 23, 2011 I received a call about Big Bear Choppers possibly planning to close it’s doors. After numerous attempts to contact Kevin and or Mona Alsop at Big Bear Chopper without results no further information was available. Remember, this happened on the 23rd of November, 2011. I posted the information I had received on the next day, the 24th. Today I received the following comment- information from a deposit paying Big Bear Customer:

I am just an average Joe working man. I sold my two bikes in order get my dream [Big Bear Chopper] bike [the least expensive Bear Bones model]. I was told by Mike Forbes (Manager), and Mike the Greek (Customer Service and warranty manager) that in order for me to begin the process of putting my bike together they would need $10,000.00 for a deposit. I wired $10,00.00 on 11-14-2011, and was in contact with with both Mikes by email, and phone calls on my build with no indication of any problems. I was told I would receive my build in 3-4 months. The phone calls and emails ended nine days later (11-23-2011) when I was in contact with their (Big Bear Choppers) lawyer and was told of Chapter 11 filing to occur in January of 2012. My heart dropped. The sum of $10,000.00 is a lot of money to me, and all I want is my deposit back. Be a MAN Kevin Alsop….and take care of us average Joes first. If not, it will come back to haunt you. Do the right thing, and take care of us who made your business.

Lets hope the Big Bear Crew does the right thing and returns ALL deposits taken for bikeS that will not be delivered……..
