IT’S NOW OFFICIALLY RIDING SEASON HERE IN STURGIS!
So…………….DO NOT drink and ride……………repeat that to yourself as often as it takes to keep you off your motorcycle if you’ve been sucking down the suds, imbibing the Bourbon, or taking in the Tequila……………..you may end up like this rider. He wasn’t paying attention to traffic in front of him after drinking all day long. Traffic in front of him stopped, he locked up both wheels and skidded into oncoming traffic in the opposite lanes. He was dead before he hit the road surface. The photo was made near the Cow Palace swap meet in in South San Francisco around 1981. I Love to ride motorcycles. I love an occasional drink. OK OK more than occasional. After I witnessed this drinking related motorcycle fatality I quit riding after drinking permanently. I ain’t special….I’m just alive, and I wanna keep it that way. If this short message keeps just ONE rider from drinking, riding, and becoming invloved in a fatal crash…..this message did it’s job!
