BLACKED OUT PETCOCK FROM GOLAN PRODUCTS….IT’S REBUILDABLE TOO!
If your motorcycle is blacked-out you probably have been looking for a blacked out petcock to maintain the theme. Golan Products is the first ball-bearing petcock with click-stop detents for quick, effortless, no-guess switching from “ON” to “OFF” to “RESERVE”. Each petcock position has its own distinctive & audible click, with easy to feel detent. In the “OFF” position, the spring-loaded ball plunges down on the O-ring seat to stop flow from the petcock to the carburetor. Lever motion is virtually friction-free; this is possible by using internal ball bearings that reduce the effort required to move the lever. Ball bearings completely eliminates the traditionally rough, sticky or frozen valve action, and feel. Each lever position is firmly locked, unaffected by vibration. The 90 degree movement between each detent ensures safe positive transition from “ON” to “RESERVE” when riding, without looking down.
Any Golan petcock can be altered to determine the amount of reserve fuel remaining by shortening the reserve tube or removing (twist off) the reserve pickup tube completely for racing or shallow tanks (see illustration). For all cruisers and radical custom tanks, long petcocks are available. The long reserve pickup tube and screen are also sold separately. The Golan Blacked Out petcock is machined from solid brass bar stock, and assembled with stainless steel components, & two standard size Viton O-rings and built to last a lifetime.
For racing applications or applications where no reserve in desired the
Golan Petcok can be modified as shown below.
