BILLY BUILDS BIKE BEHIND BARS
Billy Lane, champion motorcycle builder will be designing, and constructing a custom motorcycle from inside the big house according to information I received recently. Sponsored by “The Horse” Magazine who will be handling the logistics by seeking parts and components to be contributed, the bike will probably live up to the quality and style Billy Lane is famous for.
If you don’t already know, Billy Lane struck a plea deal in a Brevard County, Florida court by pleading guilty to manslaughter charges resulting from a crash that killed a man on a scooter. Billy said during court proceedings “I drive by the spot where I killed him every day on my motorcycle, at least for the last 20 months I’ve had my license back, and I look up to the sky and pray to god for his soul and his family.”
Let it be known that that Billy has never made excuse for the alcohol related traffic accident that took the life of Gerald Morelock on September 4, 2006. Billy has always accepted full responsibility for his actions. Billy went on to say “I made the single most irresponsible decision in my life, and it cost another man his life.”
This writer can’t wait to see Billy’s behind bars motorcycle in its finished state, it will surely possess the full weight of pent up creativeness of one of America’s best , and most innovative motorcycle builders. I fully support Billy Lane in this project and hope that when Billy hits the streets again, he will hit the streets running with a recharged motorcycle building career.
