THE FRIDAY NIGHT REPORT.....JAN 6 2012 HOW ABOUT SOME BAR HOPPING??
CUSTOM CHROME INCORPORATED (CCI) JAPAN IS NO MORE
According to an unnamed source, the one and only Japanese rep was let go last month and the entity known as Custom Chrome Japan has been shut down permanently!. It no longer exists! When I get more concrete information on this, you will get the update. The big question for exisiting Japanese customers is "can Custom Chrome survive this ongoing reorganization scenario?" The Custom Chrome website has not been updated, it still lists the annual dealer show schedule for last year, 2011. I was also told that Holger Mohr, the former CCI CEO was asked to step down by management; he did NOT leave voluntarily in the true sense of that word. He was, in essence, forced to abdicate his position. Holger has recently purchased a home in the San Jose area giving the impression he was in for the long haul, but as we all know, situations can change beyond our control in a big hurry! Would someone out there with the real dope please call and feed me the facts? Holger....call me....you have my number!
Custom Chrome Incorporated has been selling motorcycle parts and components since 1970. It was founded that year in the San Jose, California metropolitan area. I remember when I worked at an antique motorcycle shop name"Antique and Modern Cycles" in Santa Clara, California. I made many trips to the CCI warehouse for parts and components to be used on the many shop project bikes under construction.
