CARL BROUHARD NOW HAS A RACING VALVE HEART......LOL
GOOD NEWS ABOUT CARL BROUHARD
Carl Brouhard, American Motorcycle industry notable, good friend of mine, and award winning custom motorcycle designer for years is recovering from open heart surgery and doing just fine. After a long phone conversation with Carl and hearing him laugh, I know he's well on the way to a full recovery. How does one go from looking, acting, and sounding perfectly health to open heart surgery? The short story: After this year's Sturgis Rally Carl drove straight through to his home in Grass Valley, California, something like 24 hours. A gallon of Red Bull kept him going. When Carl got home he wasn't feeling 100% but chocked that feeling up to the trip and just plain being tired. Carl was watching TV laying on the couch with his wife resting her head on his chest. She told him she was hearing a very strange noise coming from his heart. The next day Carl went to the doctor on what he considered a routine visit and found out he had a "torn heart valve." The doctor told him his heart condition was so severe he shouldn't even have had the energy to walk around. At any rate the diagnoses led to having the heart valve replaced during surgery a week later with a Chris Rivas "high-flow" valve like the valves used to win the latest Bonneville record. Not really, but it sounds funny. At any rate Carl is recovering nicely. The moral of the story? The next time your wife asks you to go to the doctor, go ahead. It might Save your life. Carl's wife literally saved his life.
