If your health plan pays any medical expenses you incur as a result of a motorcycle accident that is someone else's fault, the health plan might have the right to seek repayment of those expenses (subrogation / reimbursement / lien rights). The language of the health plan, and relevant state and federal laws, must be reviewed to determine if the health plan has a right to repayment and, if so, what exactly that right is. This review should be done before any settlement is entered into.
