Laws regarding motorcycles vary from state to state. When planning a road trip, it's a good idea to check the motorcycle laws of the states you'll be riding through, to make sure you don't violate those laws. The following are some of the issues you should look into:

--Helmet requirements
--Eye protection requirements
--Headphone restrictions
--Whether motorcycles are allowed to ride two abreast in the same lane
--Whether motorcycles are allowed to go between lanes of vehicles headed in the same direction.
--Equipment requirements, such as headlights, passenger seats and footrests, mirrors, horns, rear lights, handlebars, brakes, etc.
